Social Media Manager, Sports & Entertainment (Onsite)
The Social Media Manager, Sports & Entertainment, will lead and execute the social media strategy for Weedmaps' Sports & Entertainment vertical. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Sports & Entertainment, this role is integral to the Marketing Department, focusing on social channel management, content calendar oversight, and community engagement. The position is based onsite in Irvine, California, requiring 4-5 days per week in the office.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with business objectives and marketing campaigns. The manager will own and manage the content calendar, ensuring timely and impactful posting across platforms such as Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Additionally, the role involves creating and curating compelling content, leading real-time social coverage during live events, and managing day-to-day community engagement.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field, along with 3–5 years of experience in social media management within sports, entertainment, media, or lifestyle brands. Essential skills include proficiency in major social platforms and management tools, excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational abilities, and an analytical mindset for performance tracking. Experience covering live events and real-time content publishing is also required.
The base salary for this position ranges from $72,500 to $75,789 per year.
