Software Alliances Director, Americas

The Software Alliances Director, Americas at Canonical will play a pivotal role in representing Canonical’s interests and solutions to partners and software vendors across the region. The successful candidate will join a high-impact alliances team dedicated to expanding the reach and integration of Ubuntu and Canonical technologies within the Americas. Canonical is a global technology company, best known for Ubuntu, a leading open-source platform across cloud, edge, and IoT environments.

The core responsibilities of the role include building strategic relationships and managing alliances with enterprise software providers and major technology partners. The director will drive the adoption of Canonical’s technologies, negotiate new agreements, manage ongoing collaborations, and develop joint go-to-market strategies. Day-to-day activities involve close collaboration with senior executives both internally and externally, as well as overseeing partner enablement and co-marketing initiatives.

Ideal candidates will bring extensive experience in business development or alliances management within the enterprise software or technology industry. Proven track record of delivering on ambitious partnership targets, shaping strategic plans, and managing complex partner relationships is essential. Additional requirements include excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and highly distributed environment. Fluency in English is required; multilingual skills are a plus.
