Software Engineer (AEM)
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE), the company behind the PlayStation brand, is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) to join their Martech Engineering team in Dublin, Ireland. This role focuses on developing and enhancing and delivering both internal and consumer-facing web applications. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with architects, developers, quality engineers, and DevOps teams to support and improve SIE's digital platform.
Key responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and deploying AEM Assets and Sites, as well as integrating with Adobe Marketing Cloud tools. The engineer will be expected to introduce innovative development strategies, ensure adherence to web best practices—such as user experience optimization, SEO, A/B testing, and performance enhancement—and maintain high coding standards for efficiency and reusability. Additionally, the role involves troubleshooting and resolving code issues, providing technical guidance and mentorship to peers, and collaborating with Product Owners to align technical solutions with business requirements.
Candidates should possess a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in Software Engineering. A combination of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a strong product development background is essential. The role requires 6-8 years of recent and progressive experience in AEM Content Management and developer tools, with strong proficiency in AEM building blocks, including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, and bundles. Experience with AI-powered technologies to optimize code quality and development lifecycles is also desired. Additional qualifications include familiarity with Java concepts and patterns, expertise in Adobe Experience Cloud implementations, and proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ReactJS.
