Software Engineer, Cash App - Lending Products
The Software Engineer role at Cash App focuses on developing and enhancing the Lending Products within the Cash App ecosystem. Responsibilities include leading or contributing to projects from conception to production, developing financial primitives through atomic, composable APIs, and ensuring these systems meet high standards for uptime, latency, regulatory compliance, and cost efficiency. The role also involves experimenting with emerging technologies, operating and managing existing Cash services, and contributing to the improvement of team and engineering practices.
Candidates should have an AI-first mentality, leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance development in complex systems. Familiarity with agentic engineering is preferred. A minimum of five years of experience working on complex systems and delivering quality software is required, with expertise in one or more technical areas. The role demands curiosity to identify and resolve flaws in complex systems, resilience in navigating scale and uncertainty, and a self-directed approach comfortable with ambiguity.
