Software Engineer II
is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Device Lifecycle & Integrations (DELI) team in Boston, Massachusetts. This team is responsible for developing the platforms and services that support the connected devices utilized by millions of customers. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of backend services, APIs, and full-stack features that power device integrations.
As a Software Engineer II, you will implement backend components, APIs, and event-driven workflows that are reliable and maintainable. You will participate in the full development lifecycle, from requirements and design through implementation, testing, and deployment. Collaborating closely with Product Managers, Technical Program Managers, and engineers across the organization, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet both business and technical needs.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, along with at least 2 years of professional software development experience. Strong object-oriented programming skills, experience with database design and development, and familiarity with building and consuming RESTful APIs are essential. Proficiency and SQL Server is strongly preferred, as these form the foundation of our backend stack. Additionally, experience with event-driven systems like Kafka and exposure to distributed systems or large-scale production environments are advantageous.
