Software Engineering Manager

As a Software Engineering Manager at you will lead a team of full-stack developers focused on the server-side aspects of smart home security. Your team will handle a broad range of responsibilities, including processing security events, provisioning equipment, monitoring station signaling, and integrating various devices into the ecosystem. This role offers the opportunity to work on backend services, websites, and database design within a dynamic and innovative environment.

In this position, you will manage a team of 5-7 software engineers, providing technical mentorship and overseeing project delivery. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include setting project timelines, generating work for your team, and ensuring the successful completion of diverse technical projects. Utilizing Agile development methods, you will work across various technical areas, employing the latest technologies to drive innovation and excellence.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, along with 8+ years of professional software development experience and at least 3 years of experience managing a team of developers. Strong object-oriented programming skills, particularly in C#, and experience with database design and development are essential. Additionally, knowledge of networking concepts, scalable service-oriented architectures, and the ability to foster a positive and inclusive team environment are highly valued.
