Solution Engineer (Product Demo, ETL engineer)
The Solution Engineer at Precisely plays a pivotal role in enhancing the effectiveness of the Sales Engineering organization. This position focuses on delivering high-quality technical support to Sales Engineers by maintaining and preparing all assets and environments necessary to advance and close opportunities efficiently. The role involves proactive research and development of innovative solutions, working closely with Solution Architects and Sales Engineers to ensure alignment and knowledge sharing.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with Solution Architects and Sales Engineers to identify strategic solutions, designing and maintaining reusable product demos and technical assets, effectively communicating the value of solutions in both technical and business contexts, and providing high-quality technical support to the Sales and Sales Engineering teams as required.
The ideal candidate should have experience supporting geographically distributed Sales Engineering teams, proficiency in creating custom demos and technical environments, a minimum of two years in customer-facing technical roles, programming experience in any language, and knowledge of hyperscalers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. Familiarity with data-management cloud applications like Databricks or Snowflake, data-intensive applications including Matillion, Informatica, or Talend, and major DBMS systems such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Cassandra, or MongoDB is also required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
