Sr Manager Trade Compliance - Trade programs
The Senior Manager of Trade Compliance at Intuitive is responsible for developing and overseeing logistics compliance programs, including global import and export classification, country of origin determinations, trade preferential programs, supply chain security (C-TPAT, AEO), export control, and license determinations. This role requires a deep understanding of global trade regulations and customs operations, with a proven track record in managing cross-functional projects involving departments such as tax and supply chain.
Key responsibilities include creating and maintaining trade compliance policies, procedures, and standard operating documents to effectively manage import and export operations. The role also involves supervising daily trade program activities, ensuring compliance with regulations, and conducting audits for accuracy. Additional duties encompass monitoring inquiries from Customs authorities, managing customs reconciliation and anti-boycott programs, and maintaining data governance in SAP and global product databases. The Senior Manager will collaborate with global logistics compliance operations and external partners, such as customs brokers and freight forwarders, to implement strategies and enforce global import/export processes.
Candidates should possess in-depth technical knowledge of global trade compliance principles, including customs valuation, incoterms, licenses and permits, country of origin, HTS classifications, duty optimization, Free Trade Agreements, export controls, and sanctions. A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing and building high-performing teams is required, along with experience in leading, executing, and maintaining logistics compliance programs. Strong analytical and change management skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities are essential, as is the capacity to maintain confidentiality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, with proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with databases, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, global trade automation solutions, and the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) functionality is also important.
The compensation for this role varies by region. In Region 1, the salary range is $167,300 to $250,900 USD, while in Region 2, it ranges from $142,200 to $213,300 USD. The position requires up to 25% travel, both domestic and international.
