Sr. Payroll Analyst
Legend Biotech US, a global biotechnology company headquartered in Bridgewater, New Jersey, is seeking a Senior Payroll Analyst to join their HR Operations team. The company is dedicated to advancing cell therapies for life-threatening diseases through innovative technologies. This role is integral to ensuring the accurate and timely processing of U.S. biweekly payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees using Workday.
The Senior Payroll Analyst will manage daily payroll activities, including processing payroll, administering time and absence records, performing payroll reconciliations, generating reports, conducting audits, and resolving payroll-related issues. Collaboration with HR, Benefits, Compensation, Finance, Legal, and management teams is essential to maintain accurate and compliant payroll operations. The role also involves supporting SOX controls and driving continuous improvements in payroll processes.
Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree and have 3–5 years of U.S. payroll experience, preferably in complex or global organizations. Proficiency in Workday Payroll, including Time and Absence modules, is required. A strong understanding of payroll processing, reconciliations, taxes, deductions, and compliance is essential, along with experience in SOX controls and payroll audits. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are necessary, as is the ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and recommend process improvements.
The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $96,267 to $126,351 per year, with additional performance-based bonuses and/or equity available for eligible roles.
