Staff Applied ML Engineer, Federal/National Security

Red Cell Partners is seeking a Staff Applied Machine Learning (ML) Engineer to develop and deploy AI systems tailored for federal and national security missions. This role involves working with large language models (LLMs), model fine-tuning, agentic systems, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), evaluation, and inference, transforming advanced AI capabilities into reliable software for real-world operational environments. The position is not purely research-focused nor isolated from user interaction; it emphasizes collaboration with Forward Deployed Engineers and Software Engineers, and occasional direct engagement with customers to address operational challenges through AI solutions. Red Cell Federal's platform is designed to support interchangeable models, including specialized smaller models for edge use cases, operating across cloud, on-premise, and edge environments.
