Staff Engineer
Graphcore is seeking a Staff Engineer to contribute to the architecture, implementation, and deployment of highly scalable management and observability solutions for AI infrastructure built using our next-generation products. This role involves working closely with software, cloud, and customer-facing teams to develop monitoring, observability, control, and data center infrastructure management solutions. The position is based in Gdańsk, Poland, with a hybrid working policy requiring 2-3 days per week in the office.
Key responsibilities include contributing to all phases of product development, from definition and architecture to implementation and early customer support. The engineer will design and implement fault-remediation solutions at scale, integrate Graphcore and third-party technology stacks, create reference designs, and deploy solutions internally to support engineering efforts. Additionally, the role involves ensuring comprehensive testing by collaborating with development and QA teams and mentoring junior engineers to foster continuous learning and improvement.
The ideal candidate holds a BSc or MSc degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with demonstrated success in architecting and implementing scalable, performant, and reliable cluster management systems, including telemetry collection and analysis engines. A good understanding of computer systems architecture, experience with server platform programming and debugging, expertise in in-band and out-of-band management architectures, and detailed knowledge of Redfish APIs are essential. Proficiency in C/C++/Go and Python, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, is also required.
