The Staff Silicon Physical Design Engineer position at Graphcore is a senior technical role based in Bengaluru focusing on the development and optimization of advanced semiconductor products. In this role, you will be responsible for the implementation, optimization, and delivery of high-performance SoC physical designs using the latest process nodes. Day-to-day responsibilities include floorplanning, place and route, clock tree synthesis, static timing analysis, and collaborating closely with RTL, verification, and DFT teams to deliver industry-leading silicon solutions. You will drive timing closure, power, and area optimization efforts and support tape-out activities, ensuring first-time-right silicon delivery.
Candidates should have a strong background in ASIC/SoC physical design, with significant experience in chip implementation, including floorplanning, P&R, STA, and power analysis. Proficiency in relevant EDA tools, deep understanding of CMOS process technologies, and hands-on experience with advanced process nodes are critical. A degree in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field is required, along with excellent problem-solving and team collaboration skills.
