Staff Site Reliability Engineer
AlphaSense is seeking a Staff Site Reliability Engineer to join our growing team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the reliability, scalability, and performance of our platform, which delivers critical market intelligence to over 6,000 enterprise customers, including a majority of the S&P 500. As part of our global engineering organization, you will lead initiatives that uphold our commitment to 99.99% uptime and continuous system improvement.
Your primary responsibilities will include architecting core reliability platforms, developing self-service tools that empower teams to manage their services, and driving the adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices across the company. You will lead incident response efforts, ensuring swift resolution and conducting blameless postmortems to foster a culture of learning and resilience. Additionally, you will advance our observability capabilities by implementing comprehensive monitoring, tracing, and profiling solutions to proactively optimize system performance.
The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or similar roles, with at least 3 years in a senior position. Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python or Go is essential, along with hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes. A deep understanding of networking fundamentals, experience with monitoring and alerting tools, and a proven track record in incident management are also required. Strong troubleshooting skills and excellent communication abilities are crucial for success in this role.
AlphaSense offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary ranging from $150,000 to $225,000 annually, equity options, and a generous benefits program.
