Staff Software Engineer- BE
OneTrust is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead technical direction across major feature areas within the company. As a Staff Engineer, you will independently determine approaches to complex assignments, with your technical judgment trusted beyond your immediate team. This role offers an opportunity to shape the future of responsible data use in AI through innovative software solutions.
In this position, you will lead the design and architecture of major features or components, ensuring alignment with the broader system architecture. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with other engineering teams, Product, and UX to shape solutions before implementation. Establishing and championing engineering best practices will be part of your responsibilities, as well as mentoring senior and mid-level engineers to help them grow their technical judgment and scope of ownership.
To be considered, candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, along with over 8 years of professional software engineering experience. A proven track record in leading technical initiatives that span multiple engineers or systems is essential. Deep expertise in frontend and/or backend technologies relevant to OneTrust's platform, including cloud architecture experience, is required. Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools in a professional setting is also necessary, with a genuine enthusiasm for applying AI to accelerate and elevate day-to-day engineering work.
