Artefact, a global data consulting firm with over 2,000 employees across 26 countries, is seeking a Group Legal Intern to join their Paris office. The company specializes in data-driven marketing and digital solutions, assisting clients in transforming data into business impact. The Legal Department is looking for an intern to support its activities in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment.

As a Group Legal Intern, you will be integrated into the Legal Department, assisting with various tasks such as reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts both domestically and internationally, including Master Service Agreements (MSA), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA), service contracts, and partnerships. You will also support internal legal training sessions, develop educational materials for teams, and contribute to internal compliance projects. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) to update processing registers, draft and maintain legal questionnaires, and related documents like standard contractual clauses and privacy policies. Another key responsibility is drafting the internal Legal Artefact newsletter, focusing on data and AI legal news, and conducting regular regulatory monitoring on topics such as the AI Act, GDPR, Data Act, and relevant case law.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Master's degree in Law (preferably in business law, digital law, or intellectual property law) and has a genuine interest in the tech and data sectors. A strong sensitivity to digital issues, including GDPR, the AI Act, and contract law in the tech industry, is essential. Previous experience related to contract law, personal data protection, or digital law is advantageous. Proficiency in English is required, as a significant portion of contracts and communications are conducted in English within the global scope. A keen interest in writing, whether for contract drafting, internal materials, or a monthly newsletter, is also important.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and rapidly evolving field, working alongside experts in data and AI. The position is based in Paris, with a duration of 6 months, starting in September 2026. The monthly compensation is €1,200 gross. The recruitment process includes interviews with the Legal Manager and the HR department.

Joining Artefact means becoming part of a forward-thinking company at the forefront of data and AI innovation. The company offers a collaborative and dynamic work environment, providing opportunities for professional growth and development. As an intern, you will be exposed to a wide range of legal challenges in the tech industry, enhancing your skills and preparing you for a successful career in the field.
