Stage – Structured Debt (juillet à décembre 2026)

Clifford Chance, a leading international law firm with 33 offices worldwide, is offering a six-month internship in its Structured Debt team in Paris from July to December 2026. The Paris office comprises 200 lawyers who handle complex and innovative transactions tailored to specific market contexts. The Structured Debt team consists of approximately 10 legal professionals from diverse nationalities, advising major French and international banks, project finance sponsors, investment funds, and large corporations on a comprehensive range of banking and financial products.

Interns will be fully integrated into client project teams from the outset, undertaking tasks such as conducting legal research on specific practical issues, particularly in the structuring and execution of banking and financial operations. They will draft legal documents, including powers of attorney, minutes, securities, and various contracts, as well as prepare documents and acts for contract signings and review the capacity of parties involved. Additionally, interns will assist lawyers in structuring, negotiating, and executing clients' banking and financial transactions.

Candidates should be students at the Ecole de Formation du Barreau or preparing for the entrance exam, holding a postgraduate degree in law, ideally supplemented by an LLM, equivalent foreign degree, or a business school diploma. Prior internship experience in another French or international law firm or a major French or international bank is preferred. Applicants should have a strong interest in international finance and capital markets, possess excellent technical skills, and be fluent in both written and spoken English. A collaborative spirit and the desire to work in an international environment are essential.
