The Strategic Planner at WPP Media will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing communication strategies for a leading international client with a strong market presence. This position involves supporting the strategic process to ensure its consistent and high-quality translation into daily media planning. The role requires effective integration of expertise from data science, e-commerce, and content to deliver comprehensive strategic solutions.

Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth market and brand analyses to develop insightful strategic recommendations. The planner will collaborate with the Data Science team to identify growth audiences and articulate compelling insights on target audiences, including their decision journey pain points. Additionally, the role involves supporting communication strategy development for annual planning, major launches, and campaigns, as well as contributing to high-level strategic projects such as Masterbrand strategies and integrated media/e-commerce planning.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in media or communications planning, with a strong emphasis on strategy and media planning within a media agency. A proven ability to work autonomously on assigned tasks and contribute strategically across a diverse client portfolio is essential. Exceptional strategic thinking, analytical, and conceptual skills are required, along with expertise in media strategy development and proficiency with measurement tools and econometric models. Experience in CPG and Pharmaceutical categories is highly desirable.
