Superintendent - Nueces County, TX
Hut 8 is seeking a Superintendent to lead on-site construction activities at their data center location near Nueces County, Texas. This role involves overseeing the execution of large-scale data center projects, including AI, colocation, cloud, and Bitcoin mining infrastructures. The Superintendent will be a key member of the construction team, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The Superintendent will be responsible for directing daily field operations, managing schedules, and coordinating subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Key duties include developing short-interval plans, overseeing the installation of critical infrastructure such as underground utilities and power systems, and enforcing strict safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations. Additionally, the role involves conducting daily safety meetings, maintaining accurate documentation of progress, and collaborating with project teams to produce bi-weekly progress reports.
Candidates should have proven experience supervising large-scale commercial projects, preferably data center-related, with a strong background in heavy civil, underground utilities, and MEP construction. Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors in fast-paced environments is essential. A deep understanding of CPM scheduling, the ability to read and interpret construction drawings, and experience with electrical distribution systems are required. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with a strong track record of safety ownership and field problem-solving capabilities.
