Supplier Quality Control Engineer
As a Supplier Quality Control Engineer at Helsing, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality and conformity within our production processes. You will collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering, our Engineering Team, and other Quality functions to secure product conformity, safety, and quality to the applied specifications and satisfaction of our customers.
In this role, your primary responsibilities will include executing product-related conformity controls and quality inspections based on applicable specifications. You will ensure the creation and validation of conformity certification documentation for build-as-designed compliance and act as a quality disposition authority within our Non-Conform Item process. Additionally, you will contribute to and drive root cause corrective action and improvement activities, oversee and control blocked or quarantined materials, and support the development, monitoring, and review of key performance indicators in your area. Your expertise will also be essential in consulting and supporting the production team on quality assurance topics and contributing to internal and external audits.
The ideal candidate will have a professional education in electronics, mechanics, or mechatronics (Technician or Industry Master) with a minimum of 8 years of quality assurance experience in electronics, machinery, plant engineering, automotive, or aerospace industries. You should possess applied and proven experience in conformity control measures, evaluation and validation, inspection methods (GVI/DVI), and the use of test and measurement equipment. A good understanding of special processes is advantageous. Proficiency in reading, understanding, and applying technical documents such as engineering drawings, inspection procedures, and industry norms is essential. Experience with IT software applications like MS Office and quality assurance software is required, with SAP experience and the capability to prepare a Certificate of Conformity being essential. The role requires the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, demonstrating a process-oriented attitude, flexibility, and creativity to achieve quality goals on time. Good communication skills in English are necessary, with German language skills being advantageous. Flexibility to work in shifts and readiness for business trips are also required.
