Territory Account Executive - Central Market
Square is seeking a Territory Account Executive to join our field sales team, focusing on engaging with local sellers in the Central Market region. This role is integral to our mission of economic empowerment, providing a local presence and personalized experience to our diverse clientele, including restaurants, retailers, and service-based businesses.
As a Territory Account Executive, you will spend approximately 80% of your time in the field, conducting face-to-face meetings to source leads, perform discovery and demos, and close deals within the Square ecosystem. Your responsibilities include building a sustainable pipeline through various tactics such as performing 50-60 drop-ins per week to prospective sellers, creating referral channels with active Square sellers, and establishing strategic partnerships within the community. Additionally, you will collaborate with onboarding teams to ensure successful implementation of Square solutions and work closely with channel sales teams to identify complementary partners for referrals.
The ideal candidate has over 3 years of sales experience in a full-cycle closing role with field sales experience, a proven track record of exceeding sales targets, and the ability to drive deals independently in a fast-paced environment. Experience in business development, such as hunting and cold calling, is essential. Candidates must have reliable transportation and reside in the market they serve. Proficiency with Salesforce or equivalent CRM tools is required. Preferred qualifications include over 2 years of experience in payment processing or related technology and over 1 year of experience working in or selling to restaurants, retailers, or service-based businesses.
Compensation for this role varies based on location, with annual salaries ranging from $123,400 to $223,100, including target variable compensation.
