Territory Account Manager
The Territory Account Manager at Tenable, Inc. is responsible for establishing and developing business through existing and new clients within assigned regions or territories. This role involves managing sales activities, forecasting, and achieving targets in a dynamic team environment. Tenable is a leading cybersecurity company that helps organizations understand and reduce cyber risk, supporting a significant portion of the Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies.
Key responsibilities include maintaining and developing the existing client base through regional marketing and direct sales activities, identifying and developing new opportunities through prospecting and networking, and managing the sales pipeline to target key accounts and vertical markets. The Territory Account Manager is also expected to achieve assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual sales budgets, provide sales forecasts, and manage the activities of sales personnel dedicated to the region, including inside sales representatives and sales engineers.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree and at least 5-7 years of experience directly related to this role. A consultative approach to presenting ideas and products, proficiency with sales tracking tools, and outstanding oral and written communication skills are essential. Attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and the capacity to travel approximately 50% of the time are also required.
Compensation for this role includes a base salary ranging from $114,500 to $152,500 per year, with additional variable compensation such as commission and bonuses.
