Test Automation Engineer
OPSWAT is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our team dedicated to developing advanced cybersecurity products that protect critical infrastructure worldwide. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our solutions.
As a Test Automation Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure product quality and scalability. You will analyze and review product requirements to identify test scenarios, write and maintain test cases based on business and technical requirements, and perform various types of testing, including API, functional, and regression testing. Additionally, you will utilize, maintain, and enhance the existing automation framework to implement reliable automated tests and collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify, log, and track defects and issues.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in QA and at least 2 years in QA Automation. A strong knowledge of programming or scripting languages such as Python or TypeScript is essential. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required. A basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC), along with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, is also necessary. Proficiency in manual testing, including test case design, execution, defect reporting, and tracking, is expected. Good written English communication skills are important for this role.
Preferred qualifications include familiarity with working in an Agile/Scrum team environment, with active participation in sprint activities. ISTQB or other recognized software testing certifications are advantageous. An understanding of version control systems such as Git, APIs, and basic API testing using tools like Postman is beneficial. Familiarity with test management tools like Zephyr, TestRail, or similar is also a plus.
