Trade Mark Assistant
Questel is seeking a Trade Mark Assistant to join their dynamic team, focusing on managing and developing client portfolios in the field of intellectual property. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Trade Mark Consultants, providing high-level administrative and procedural support across a broad range of trade mark matters. The position is based in Brussels, Belgium, with a hybrid work setup, allowing for two days of remote work per week.
In this role, the Trade Mark Assistant will be responsible for managing trade mark portfolios, maintaining accurate records in internal databases, and proactively monitoring risks and deadlines. Key tasks include preparing and filing trade mark applications, renewals, and recordals, as well as handling correspondence with clients, foreign agents, and IP offices. The assistant will also support invoicing, reporting, and portfolio reviews, and may draft and respond to office actions, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate should have solid experience in trade mark administration and paralegal work, with the ability to prepare correspondence and documents autonomously. Confidence in handling international portfolios and liaising with agents and clients is essential. Proficiency in English and Dutch, both spoken and written, is required; knowledge of French is advantageous. The candidate should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple deadlines. A proactive and self-directed approach to work is also important.
