Transactional Attorney

Graphcore is seeking a Transactional Attorney to join our legal team, reporting directly to the General Counsel. This role is pivotal in supporting a wide array of commercial and technology-focused legal matters, with a primary emphasis on drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate business objectives while effectively managing legal and commercial risks.

Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial agreements, such as customer, supplier, and partner contracts. The attorney will provide legal support for technology-focused transactions, particularly within hardware and semiconductor contexts, and advise internal stakeholders on contractual rights, obligations, and risk mitigation strategies. Additionally, the role involves supporting negotiations of agreements governed by U.S. and international laws, collaborating with teams including sales, procurement, finance, and engineering, and contributing to the development of standard contract templates and processes.

The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer with substantial experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in technology-focused environments. A strong understanding of contract law and risk allocation principles is essential, along with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders. Experience working cross-functionally in fast-paced, international settings and managing multiple transactions simultaneously is also required.
