Transportation Design Group Manager
The Transportation Design Group Manager at Benesch will lead and expand the transportation design practice in Florida, overseeing a team of design professionals across offices in Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, Miami, Orlando, and Tampa. Reporting to the Florida Division Manager, this director-level role offers significant visibility at state, regional, and national levels, with potential for ownership within the company.
Key responsibilities include managing and growing the Florida-based transportation design engineering group, ensuring group performance contributes positively to the Florida Division's profit center. The role involves developing and maintaining client relationships, representing Benesch at industry events, identifying strategic project opportunities, and collaborating on regional growth strategies with leaders across the Southeast.
Candidates must possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related discipline and hold Professional Engineer licensure in Florida. A minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership experience is required, with a successful history of working with FDOT and local agencies throughout Florida. The ideal candidate will have experience in project development and delivery of roadway engineering and design services, traffic engineering, and roadway planning, along with strong communication, business development, project management, and client relationship skills.
