USA Payroll Compliance Expert

Remote is seeking a USA Payroll Compliance Expert to join our Payroll Risk & Compliance team. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to lead and enhance payroll compliance practices across multiple entities and product lines, including PEO and internal compliance operations. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless integration of compliance into our operations.

In this role, you will act as Remote's subject matter expert for US payroll compliance, overseeing internal audits, supporting the design and implementation of automated payroll processes, and guiding the payroll team through complex compliance matters. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring changes in US payroll legislation, developing training materials, and participating in global projects to strengthen our overall payroll compliance framework.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of US payroll compliance, including federal and multi-state taxation, wage and hour laws, and tax and benefits reporting. Proven experience in managing US payroll operations or compliance programs in a complex or multi-entity environment is essential. Experience with PEO & EOR models, audit processes, system controls, and regulatory reporting is strongly preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with distributed teams are also important.
