UX Manager, Design Systems
The UX Manager, Design Systems at PlayStation Global leads a team dedicated to developing and maintaining cohesive, scalable UI components and design tokens across multiple platforms. This role is integral to ensuring consistency and usability across all PlayStation consumer products, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams to balance long-term system integrity with practical implementation needs.
Key responsibilities include guiding the development of individual components and larger design patterns to ensure scalability, consistency, and accessibility. The manager will maintain healthy, usable Figma libraries and clear system documentation, establish and uphold component lifecycle governance, and manage the design backlog and system design debt. Additionally, the role involves developing adoption strategies and coordinating cross-team and cross-regional dependencies.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio demonstrating multi-platform design system experience and product thinking. Experience in leading, coaching, and developing designers is essential, along with deep knowledge of design system governance and scalable design practices. Proficiency in accessibility standards and inclusive design principles, as well as the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate decisions clearly, are also required.
The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $169,500 to $254,300 USD, depending on factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the role is eligible for a top-tier benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, matching 401(k), paid time off, a wellness program, and employee discounts for Sony products.
