Vehicle Validation Engineer
As a Vehicle Validation Engineer at Wayve, you will play a pivotal role in the real-world deployment of our end-to-end AI driving systems. Embedded within the Product & Delivery team, you will ensure our autonomous vehicles are primed for testing, delivering high-quality, reliable data that accelerates development. Wayve, founded in 2017, is a leader in Embodied AI technology, creating intelligent, mapless, and hardware-agnostic AI products designed to enhance the usability and safety of automated driving systems.
Your primary responsibilities will include planning and executing vehicle tests to support development, validation, benchmarking, and real-world deployment. You will develop and refine vehicle validation test concepts to evaluate system performance across diverse real-world scenarios. Collaborating closely with engineering, product, and operations teams, you will translate testing needs into effective test activities, ensuring vehicles are prepared, maintained, and consistently ready for safe and efficient testing. Additionally, you will deliver high-quality test data, performance reports, and actionable insights to support rapid iteration and decision-making.
The ideal candidate will possess experience with vehicle diagnostics tools such as CANalyzer or CANoe, along with vehicle instrumentation and data logging tools like Vector, ETAS, or Racelogic. You should have a background in executing structured vehicle tests in proving ground and/or real-world environments and be comfortable working across Linux, Windows, and SSH-based environments. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into clear test cases and validation plans. A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on improving processes, tools, and ways of working is highly valued.
