Vice President, Decentralized Finance OnChain Counsel - Corporate

This role focuses on providing expert legal counsel on decentralized finance (DeFi) and staking services, including compliance, commercial transactions, and governance matters. Key responsibilities include serving as a strategic legal advisor on all OnChain and DeFi-related legal negotiations, drafting and negotiating agreements such as token purchase agreements, staking and validation agreements, and token liquidity arrangements. The role also involves providing legal insights on complex regulatory landscapes affecting decentralized finance and cryptocurrency projects, identifying and mitigating legal risks, and staying informed on industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies.

Candidates should have at least 3 years of transactional experience in top-tier law firms or crypto-focused companies, with a strong foundational knowledge and passion for the blockchain space. A comprehensive understanding of staking, validation, and DeFi protocols is essential, along with experience negotiating relevant agreements pertaining to digital assets. The role requires strong critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and membership in good standing of the New York State Bar.
