VP, AI Infrastructure - Highrise.ai
The Vice President of AI Infrastructure at Highrise.ai, a division of Hut 8, will lead the operational execution of GPU infrastructure at scale. This role is pivotal in transforming power-backed infrastructure into production-ready, SLA-backed GPU capacity, ensuring optimal performance and uptime across data centers. Hut 8 is renowned for building and operating some of the world's largest data centers for next-generation computing workloads, including AI, Colocation, Cloud, and Bitcoin Mining.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the full operational layer between Hut 8’s facilities and customers, encompassing deployment, commissioning, and production sign-off. The VP will own performance metrics, uptime, and SLA commitments, manage incident responses, and handle OEM, vendor, and hardware lifecycle management. A significant aspect of the role involves scaling operations from approximately 1,100 GPUs to over 20,000 GPUs.
The ideal candidate will possess over 10 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or hyperscale data center operations, with at least 5 years dedicated to GPU-accelerated and/or HPC environments. Direct experience in deploying and operating more than 10,000 GPUs in managed, production settings is essential. Deep expertise in RDMA networking (InfiniBand and/or RoCE) and a proven track record of maintaining 99.9%+ uptime and meeting customer-facing SLAs are required. Leadership experience in managing teams of 20–50+ across field operations, deployment, and infrastructure is also necessary.
