Water Resources & Utilities Designer
Benesch is seeking a Water Resources & Utilities Designer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on hydrology, hydraulics, and the design of water, wastewater, and stormwater utility infrastructure. The successful candidate will contribute to projects ranging from drainage studies and floodplain mapping to municipal water and sewer infrastructure design.
Key responsibilities include performing hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for various water systems, assisting in the planning and design of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water distribution systems, and supporting utility coordination for transportation and site development projects. The designer will also be involved in preparing technical reports, cost estimates, and ensuring high-quality engineering documents.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with experience or a strong interest in water resources engineering and municipal utility design. Familiarity with modeling and design software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D is advantageous. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are essential.
