Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant

Morgan & Morgan, a leading personal injury law firm dedicated to protecting the people, not the powerful, is seeking a qualified Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant to join their Brooklyn office. As a Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant, you will support the legal team throughout all phases of workers' compensation claims, from intake through resolution. Your responsibilities will include conducting client intake interviews, managing case files, scheduling hearings and mediations, preparing legal documents, and maintaining communication with clients and medical providers. You will also handle administrative duties such as tracking medical records, managing billing, and ensuring compliance with confidentiality and legal procedures.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, legal secretary, or paralegal, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department. A high school diploma is required, with an associate's degree in paralegal studies, a paralegal certificate, or a bachelor's degree preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office/Excel, Outlook, and PDF tools is essential. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are crucial.
