2026 Blockchain Infrastructure Internship - NYC
The 2026 Blockchain Infrastructure Internship at Galaxy offers a nine-week, on-site experience in New York City, focusing on blockchain infrastructure and on-chain protocols such as DeFi, Staking, and Tokenization. Interns will collaborate with various teams, including Staking, DeFi, Tokenization, and GK8, to support the development of a comprehensive blockchain infrastructure-focused operating business.
Key responsibilities include becoming a technical and strategic expert on blockchain infrastructure, working across Galaxy's infrastructure business, and assisting in the creation of new products and processes. Interns will also learn about products associated with blockchain infrastructure services and contribute to Galaxy-wide initiatives across derivatives, credit, and asset management. Summarizing research findings and proposing new products and services in a clear, concise manner is also expected.
Candidates should have an interest in and knowledge of the cryptocurrency ecosystem, critical thinking skills with a solutions-oriented mindset, strong emotional intelligence, and a proactive, entrepreneurial spirit. Self-direction, curiosity, and comfort working in a fast-paced, iterative research workflow are essential. Demonstrated interest in building on-chain personal projects in areas like DeFi, Prop AMMs, Tokenization, and Consumer Crypto Applications is preferred. Pursuing a degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, economics, or engineering is strongly preferred, along with a strong interest in AI and agentic workflows and proficiency in smart contracts (Solidity, Rust, etc.).
Interns are classified as non-exempt employees and will be paid a rate of $55 per hour.
