Cellanome, a well-funded startup dedicated to addressing significant challenges in biology, is seeking a Summer Intern for Assay Development. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the Director of Assay Development, contributing to the advancement of multi-omic assay development and optimization. The company is committed to developing next-generation technologies to unravel the complexities of biology.

The intern will engage in both hands-on laboratory work and computational analysis. Responsibilities include assisting with cell and molecular biology experiments, operating the R3200 instrument, and performing large-scale single-cell data analysis to evaluate assay performance and inform optimization activities. This combined approach allows the intern to apply their expertise toward building a uniquely differentiating platform.

Candidates should be currently enrolled in a Master's or PhD program in a biology-related field and able to commit to a 12-week program during Summer 2026. Previous hands-on experience in cell and molecular biology, including cell culture, library preparation, and sequencing, is required. Experience with laboratory instrumentation and proficiency in R for single-cell data analysis are also necessary; knowledge of Seurat is a plus.

The estimated pay range for this position in California is $40-$45 per hour. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
