Cellanome, a well-funded startup dedicated to addressing significant challenges in biology, is seeking a Summer Intern in Biomaterials for 2026. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a cross-functional team to advance the company's technology platform. The intern will report to Scientist II and contribute to the development and evaluation of biomaterial systems.

The intern will design and execute experiments to characterize biomaterial systems, analyze data to generate insights, and collaborate with team members to apply principles from materials science and cell biology. This involves iterative experimentation and data analysis to develop and assess biomaterial systems.

Candidates should be currently enrolled in a PhD program in bioengineering, chemical engineering, materials engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. They must be able to commit to a 10–12-week program during Summer 2026. Experience with biomaterials, including polymers and hydrogels, materials characterization techniques such as microscopy and rheometry, and evaluating cell-material interactions is required. Strong data analysis and organizational skills, along with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, are essential.

The estimated pay range for this position is $40–$45 per hour, with individual pay determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
