2026 Summer Intern - Computational Biology
The 2026 Summer Intern – Computational Biology role at Cellanome is an opportunity for students to work directly with a cutting-edge team developing novel single-cell sequencing technology. Interns will join Cellanome’s interdisciplinary R&D group, which integrates biology, chemistry, and data science to unlock new insights into genomics. As an intern, you will be immersed in a fast-growing biotech startup environment known for innovation and collaboration.
Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing large-scale biological datasets, developing computational tools, and collaborating with experimental teams to interpret genomic results. Interns will help design and run computational experiments, contribute to algorithm development, and participate in the presentation of findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork, clear communication, and rigorous scientific methods.
Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field, and have experience with programming languages such as Python or R. Essential skills include familiarity with genomics data analysis, statistical methods, and proficiency in working with biological datasets. Prior internship or research experience in biotechnology or computational biology is advantageous but not required.
Interns at Cellanome benefit from a competitive compensation package, networking opportunities, and exposure to innovative technology platforms at the forefront of single-cell genomics. The program is designed to foster professional growth, mentorship, and practical experience that can springboard a career in biotechnology or computational sciences.
Cellanome promotes a dynamic workplace culture focused on teamwork, continuous learning, and scientific excellence. Interns are encouraged to take initiative, collaborate across disciplines, and develop new ideas in a supportive, mission-driven environment.
