2nd Shift Environmental Monitoring Associate – QC (Sun-Wed)
Eurofins is seeking a dedicated Environmental Monitoring Associate to join our Quality Control team on the second shift, Sunday through Wednesday, in Rensselaer, New York. This role is integral to maintaining the integrity of our controlled environments, ensuring compliance with environmental and aseptic standards within our biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities.
The primary responsibilities include conducting environmental monitoring within cleanroom and process areas, collecting samples from high-purity water systems, clean steam, and compressed gases, and supporting daily laboratory operations such as cleaning controlled temperature units and operating autoclaves. Additionally, the role involves assisting with equipment calibration and maintenance, utilizing the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for sample tracking, and participating in rotating schedules to support 24/7 operational needs.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related field, or an Associate's degree in Life Sciences with relevant industry experience. Essential skills include a strong work ethic, the ability to meet physical demands such as lifting items of 25 lbs or more, proficiency in computer systems, and excellent communication skills. Preferred qualifications encompass prior experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments, familiarity with microbial identification procedures, and understanding of cGMP regulations.
Eurofins offers a competitive compensation package, including an hourly rate between $19 and $22, depending on education and experience, with a 10% shift differential.
