Eurofins Maritime Services is a rapidly growing business unit within Eurofins, specializing in laboratory analyses and quality services for the global maritime sector. Our services include testing of fuels, wastewater, and environmental samples aboard ships. With an enthusiastic team of approximately 10 colleagues, we collaborate daily to support clients worldwide. To continue our growth in the Netherlands and beyond, we are seeking an Account Manager with extensive maritime experience and a strong commercial drive.

In this role, you will drive the maritime market by expanding our client base, introducing new products, and strengthening existing customer relationships. You will combine strategic insight with a hands-on approach, from identifying new opportunities to closing deals. Engaging with clients both over the phone and on-site energizes you, and you possess the drive to further develop the business. Your understanding of the maritime world enables you to translate our laboratory services into practical, valuable solutions for shipping and maritime companies.

Key responsibilities include identifying and approaching new clients and markets within the global maritime sector, building and maintaining long-term relationships with existing and potential clients, developing commercial strategies and sales plans to realize growth opportunities, advising clients on laboratory tests and solutions that meet their specific needs, presenting commercial proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals, monitoring market trends, competition, and client needs to further optimize our services, collaborating with internal teams to successfully implement client projects and ensure customer satisfaction, and maintaining sales reports and providing input for the business strategy.

We are looking for someone who speaks the language of the maritime world and is not afraid to pick up the phone or step aboard. The ideal candidate has a completed HBO education, preferably in a commercial or maritime direction, at least 2 years of relevant work experience in sales/business development, preferably in the maritime sector and/or in laboratory services, experience in developing new business opportunities and closing deals at a strategic level, knowledge of laboratory testing and analysis processes is a strong plus, no hesitation with cold acquisition – you gain energy from approaching new clients, excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English (multiple languages are a plus), a strong network within the maritime industry and the willingness to further expand it, a result-oriented and proactive work attitude, with the ability to operate independently and achieve commercial objectives, and a willingness to travel internationally and support clients worldwide.
