Actuary/Cash Balance Specialist

Strongpoint Partners is seeking an Actuary/Cash Balance Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on administering and managing small to mid-sized cash balance and defined benefit plans. As part of our dynamic team, you will contribute to delivering accurate and compliant retirement solutions to our diverse client base.

In this position, you will be responsible for interpreting and communicating elements of defined benefit and cash balance plan actuarial valuations to both in-house actuaries and clients. Your duties will include preparing and facilitating PBGC filings for applicable defined benefit plans, staying current with industry trends and legislative changes, and advising clients on plan design options. Additionally, you will perform benefit calculations, valuations, AFTAP certifications, and Schedule SB filings.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of experience in small plan defined benefit administration. An Enrolled Actuary designation is preferred but not required. Proficiency in advanced cross-testing concepts and the ability to perform testing to determine cost-effective solutions to meet nondiscrimination requirements are essential. Strong knowledge of defined benefit and cash balance actuarial valuation reports and PBGC filing requirements is also necessary.

This fully remote position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $150,000+, depending on experience, skill set, and geographic location.
