Advisory Systems Engineer, Taiwan
Arista Networks is seeking a collaborative and self-motivated Advisory Systems Engineer to join our Account teams in Taiwan. This role focuses on providing pre-sales technical systems engineering support to our service provider, enterprise, and commercial customers. The successful candidate will be instrumental in understanding customer needs and delivering tailored networking solutions that align with Arista's innovative product offerings.
Key responsibilities include partnering with Account Managers to identify customer challenges, conducting network architectural reviews, and presenting Arista's Open Networking Data Center, Cognitive Campus (including Wi-Fi), and SD-WAN solutions. The role involves designing and proposing Data Center, Campus network, and SD-WAN solutions using leaf-spine architectures (VxLAN, EVPN) and network overlays. Additionally, the engineer will perform hands-on tests to validate customer proof-of-concept setups, develop design guidelines, respond to RFPs/RFQs, provide feedback to Product Management and Engineering, represent Arista at industry events, and author technical white papers.
Candidates should have over 8 years of experience in customer-facing technical roles such as network consulting, customer success, or solution architecture. Expertise in L2/L3 networking, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EVPN, VXLAN), and automation ecosystems (EOS, CloudVision, Ansible, Terraform, Python) is essential. Strong consultative skills, business acumen, and excellent communication abilities are required. Preferred qualifications include Arista ACE certification (or willingness to obtain within the first 90 days), experience in professional services or customer success engineering, and knowledge of data center, cloud, campus, or routing environments.
