As a Microbiology Analyst at Eurofins Food Testing Belgium, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for conducting microbiological analyses on food and water samples. In this role, your primary responsibilities include performing various microbiological tests such as detecting Salmonella, Listeria, and total viable counts in food samples, as well as conducting membrane filtration tests for total viable counts and coliforms in water samples. You will also be involved in subculturing, enrichment procedures, counting, and reading results, ensuring all analyses are executed accurately and timely as per established procedures under the supervision of the team coordinator. Additionally, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment and materials will be part of your duties.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline and demonstrates flexibility by working shifts from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with Fridays until 6:30 PM. You should be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and capable of organizing your tasks within the team, proactively assisting colleagues when needed. Attention to detail, orderliness, and a critical approach to analysis results are essential qualities for this position.
