Analyst I (3rd shift) , Environment Testing, Earth City MO
Eurofins is seeking an entry-level Analyst I to join our Environment Testing laboratory in Earth City, MO. This full-time, third-shift position offers a schedule of Monday through Friday, 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM or 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, with initial training conducted from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM for at least one month. The Analyst I will be responsible for preparing and analyzing environmental samples using standard analytical techniques in compliance with scientific and EPA methodologies. Key duties include sample preparation, performing chemical analyses, calculating and recording data, reporting unusual test occurrences to the supervisor, and conducting routine instrument maintenance. The role also involves general housekeeping within the work area and adherence to Eurofins' Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality Assurance (QA) standards.
Candidates should possess a minimum of an Associate of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent experience. While experience in an environmental laboratory is advantageous, it is not mandatory. Preferred qualifications include 1-2 years of preparation or analytical experience, effective communication skills, a positive attitude toward quality and safety procedures, strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in basic math skills. The ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and perform within time constraints is essential. Candidates must be able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
