The Analyst I, Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) position at GoFundMe is a critical role within the Trust & Safety team, dedicated to safeguarding the platform from financial crimes and abuse. Key responsibilities include leveraging established investigative frameworks to perform EDD reviews on high-risk customers, fundraisers, and organizations. The analyst evaluates fundraiser, account, and transactional activities to identify unusual patterns and assess associated risks. Gathering and analyzing information from internal systems, open-source intelligence, and third-party data sources is essential to support risk assessments and investigative conclusions. Additionally, the role involves documenting findings comprehensively, analyzing complex organizational structures, and collaborating with cross-functional partners to mitigate platform abuse.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 1-3 years in payments, financial crime, compliance, or related risk functions. A working knowledge of global EDD frameworks, AML/CFT, sanctions screening, and financial crime risk management is required. Strong analytical and investigative skills are essential, along with the ability to exercise good judgment in handling higher-risk or sensitive cases. The role demands adaptability to dynamic environments, excellent organizational skills, and clear communication abilities, both orally and in writing.
