GoFundMe is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the Payments Ledger & Payouts platform, which serves as the financial backbone of the organization. This role is pivotal in managing systems that track, control, and disburse billions of dollars across the platform, directly impacting user trust and the future of financial services at GoFundMe. The position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with an in-office requirement of three days per week.

The Staff Product Manager will own the vision and strategy for GoFundMe's ledger and payouts infrastructure, ensuring a complete, accurate, and auditable source of truth for all money movements, including donations, disbursements, refunds, and chargebacks. Responsibilities include designing systems that support multiple processors, settlement models, currencies, and geographies to enable seamless global payouts and expansion into new markets. The role also involves driving platform investments to enable faster withdrawals, international payouts, wallets, remittances, and new payout methods, thereby improving user experiences and creating new revenue opportunities.

Candidates should have at least 8 years of product management experience, including ownership of complex platform or infrastructure products. Deep experience in payments, fintech, or financial systems such as ledgers, payouts, settlement, and reconciliation is essential. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to connect technical architecture with user and business outcomes, and experience operating in highly ambiguous, high-stakes environments with significant cross-team dependencies. Proficiency in using data and modern tooling, including AI, to improve speed and quality across the product lifecycle is also required.

The total annual salary for this full-time position ranges from $181,000 to $240,000, plus equity and benefits.
