Asbestos Analyst

Eurofins is seeking a qualified P401 Asbestos Analyst to join our expanding team in Durham. As part of our award-winning company, you will contribute to providing routine analytical environmental services and bespoke specialist testing throughout the UK, Ireland, and Europe. Our laboratories are UKAS accredited to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and, where applicable, the Environment Agency MCERTS Performance Standard for soils.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing samples as identified from work schedules and undertaking the analysis of a wide range of materials for asbestos, including bulk material, soils, and waters. You will enter results onto the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to assist with generating accurate and timely data in line with client expectations and UKAS standards. Additionally, you will assist with the development of UKAS accredited quantification methods and maintain quality control and sample data in compliance with Eurofins Chemtest quality systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a BOHS P401 qualification and demonstrate enthusiasm, resourcefulness, and dependability. Previous experience in asbestos analysis is preferred. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
