Asset Finance Associate Attorney
Clifford Chance, a leading global law firm, is seeking an Asset Finance Associate Attorney to join its New York office within the Global Financial Markets Group. This role offers an opportunity to work on complex, cross-border asset finance transactions, particularly in aviation and transportation sectors. Candidates should be admitted to the New York Bar, with preferred class years ranging from 2017 to 2021.
The successful candidate will be responsible for advising lenders, lessors, investors, underwriters, and sponsors on a variety of asset finance transactions. This includes operating and finance leases, secured lending, leveraged leasing, portfolio acquisitions and dispositions, restructurings, and asset-backed or structured finance transactions such as Enhanced Equipment Trust Certificates (EETCs). Experience with export credit agency-supported financings, asset-backed securities (ABS), and other complex financing structures is highly desirable.
Ideal applicants will possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school or a foreign law degree with a U.S. LL.M. from an accredited law school, demonstrating high academic achievement. They should have meaningful experience advising on cross-border asset finance transactions, with substantial exposure to aviation and other transportation finance, including aircraft and high-value equipment financings. Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills are essential, along with an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong client-service orientation. Prior experience at a peer Am Law or international law firm is preferred.
Clifford Chance offers a comprehensive benefits and compensation package. The salary range for this role is $365,000 to $435,000 annually, with actual compensation commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience.
