Associate - Corporate Transactions & Advisory

Clifford Chance is seeking an Associate to join its Corporate Transactions & Advisory team in Milan. This role focuses on advising leading global companies on a range of public and private transactions, including complex cross-border mergers and acquisitions, strategic joint ventures, major divestments, and demergers. The position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative and team-oriented environment, delivering high-quality legal counsel combined with pragmatic business advice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of tasks, such as drafting and negotiating transactional documents, conducting due diligence, and providing strategic legal guidance to clients. The role involves close collaboration with clients and other legal professionals, ensuring compliance with local laws and business requirements. Additionally, the Associate will participate in business development initiatives and contribute to thought leadership within the firm.

Candidates should possess a solid background in corporate law, ideally with experience in mergers and acquisitions gained at a top-tier international or well-structured Italian law firm. Strong academic credentials, excellent communication, analytical, and drafting skills, along with a high level of commercial awareness, are essential. Fluency in both Italian and English is required, and experience with transactions involving listed companies is highly regarded.
