Associate Director, Clinical Product Development
The Associate Director, Clinical Product Development at Adaptive Biotechnologies will lead a multi-functional team responsible for developing and validating clinical diagnostic assays from concept through launch. This role focuses on expanding the clonoSEQ MRD franchise to additional diseases, sample types, and analytes in the U.S. and internationally. The position involves overseeing analytical validation plans and supporting clinical validation plans for these projects.
Key responsibilities include leading clinical assay development and validation activities, providing scientific leadership for experimental design and data analysis, contributing to product pipeline strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams to define product design requirements, and ensuring compliance with design control activities and risk management documentation. The role also involves mentoring team members and managing their performance and career development.
The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree (PhD) in molecular genetics, immunology, bioengineering, or a related field, with 8+ years of experience in assay research and development. Additionally, 4+ years of experience in a diagnostic, medical device, or life sciences company, and 4+ years of supervisory experience are required. Preferred qualifications include expertise in molecular biology, genomics, multiplex PCR, NGS technology, and experience developing IVD or CLIA assays under design control.
The position offers a salary range of $144,600 to $217,000 per year, along with an equity grant and eligibility for bonuses.
