Associate Director, Planning
The Associate Director, Planning at WPP Media is a senior leadership role responsible for supervising all implementation needs and communication with clients and agency teams. This position involves liaising with global marketing teams, ensuring productivity within the client implementation team, and integrating creative and media strategies. Key responsibilities include maintaining day-to-day client and agency contact, overseeing the development of objectives, strategies, plans, and presentations, and supervising the interpretation of competitive and other research data. The role also involves training and evaluating team members, acting as a liaison between internal teams and partner vendors to ensure media performance, and maintaining a deep understanding of business, target audiences, and the wider communications environment.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, business administration, communications, or equivalent professional work experience. They should possess 5-8 years of account planning or related media/communications planning experience, with a focus on team leadership and management. Experience facilitating ideation sessions, excellent strategic thinking, strong client relationship skills, and proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research techniques are essential. The ability to manage multiple assignments and demonstrate genuine curiosity and interest in clients and their business is also required.
