Associate, PE / M&A, Sydney
Clifford Chance is seeking a high-performing junior associate to join its leading Private Equity and Mergers & Acquisitions practice in Sydney. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-value transactions alongside a highly regarded team, advising top-tier private equity sponsors and corporate clients across a broad range of industries.
The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on a variety of transactions, including private equity investments and exits, public and private mergers and acquisitions, growth capital and minority investments, and general corporate advisory matters. The role provides early responsibility, direct client exposure, and the opportunity to develop strong technical and commercial skills within a collaborative team environment.
Candidates should have 3–4 years of post-qualification experience in Corporate/M&A, ideally with exposure to private equity transactions. Strong technical drafting and transactional skills, the ability to manage multiple workstreams within tight timeframes, and a commercially minded approach are essential. Proactivity, solution orientation, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset are also key attributes sought for this position.
